From Silence to Salvation

There was a time in my life where i knew nothing but silence
Alone in my heart and mind
In search of something that will bring me out of my shyness
Walking down this road I see another soul
Who i thought would bring my heart from the cold
But Lord was I wrong
i told myself it couldn’t get any worse
While ignoring the signs that his so called “love” was a curse
Beaten, torn, bruised, and broken
He told me no one would listen if i ever spoken
Up,
Crying out for help
But no one could tell
I was dying inside
 Harming myself
praying to god that it would be my time
But it’s crazy how the mind works
getting you to think
About how one person could change everything
Disguising themselves to be for better things
To scare me for so long to keep quiet
I let them talk for me while I roamed behind so silent
Until one day when I was ready to end it all
My guardian angel told me your too strong to fall
I did not carry and birth a Leo for her to be weak
There is so much of this world that you need to see
A coward
kept you from being the Heaven Soul I named you to be
From silence and frustration
from what I was holding back for years
came my guardian angel giving me my voice and my salvation
No longer letting them speak for me and while I hide in tears
And if it wasn’t for those words I wouldn’t know now
How strong I am to speak up and tell others things that should never be allowed
