Silence in the West Bound


He takes another dip As she bites her bottom lip Life ain't playin fair This night's up in the air He leads her out This is the first they've been seen bout Ain't no work in the mornin Yet in his eyes he sees her dyin She bows her head Seeing the lights ahead He sends up a prayer As he throws his hands in the air The lights flicker on and off Then a single cough It's the silence heard 'round In the west bound
