THE SILENCE WITHIN ME
THE SILENCE WITHIN ME
The silence within me, have you e'er heard?
Though, thou might not hear but thou did learned
How naked it is in our eyes so keen
How stark it is than thy words so sheen
It chimes so loud yet soft like bells in church
Or the winds in air whistles in ears
The silence within me echoes to lurch
In thy voice of thine left me in tears
As the nightfall comes, my silence’ awake
Like the owl’s presence in shady woods
But my teary eyes speaks, streams like a lake
Yet the silence within me still stood
Like a red rose, the silence inside blooms
Into a thorny, silent anguish
Fatally and grievously does this booms
In mine of delicate and languish
Silence within me is too dangerous
To bear than to bear wild escapades
And too treacherous to be clangorous
To face than to face thrown blades
How the silence come to speak, thou might ask,
How my tears spoke the torment inside?
Ask thyself how the deafness of thine masked
The chaos of truth of my down side
The silence within me, have you e’er heard?
Though, thou might not hear but thou did learned
How naked it is in our eyes so keen
How stark it is than thy words so sheen
