Silenced Fear

Wed, 03/06/2019 - 21:06 -- Ife

Fear is within

It stems from a moment

It stems from an event

It can last for an eternity

Next steps always pose as a fear

The uncertainty that should excite

Twelveth grade me

College Applications

Rejections

Deferrals

Acceptances

All are crushing

However, with the goals I have

Reminding me

Constantly reminding me

I keep pushing

I stay open

To the new

To the present

To the future

I consider all bad

All horrible

Which calms fear

Its uproar remains silent

Desolate

And small

I do not let it take over me

For I have goals.
