Silent Affirmatives
What would love be
In a world without words
Words of affirmation, of comfort
Would you begin to recognize all the little ways
My love trickles all around you
Would you notice how I trace my hand
In more than just circles along your skin while humming that solemn tune
Would you hear it when my heart skips a beat
Feeling your fingers ever so as twitch on my thighs
And would you understand the look in my eyes
Pleading for love and nothing more
Nothing dishonest
Would you love me in my silence
In my sorrow
Would you love me if I couldn’t
Say I love you too?

Your Poem's Voice
Personal love relationship, grounded in embodied moments and specific emotional vulnerability.
Multiple interconnected ideas about non-verbal love expression; moderate density with meditative repetition.
Tender and vulnerable but tinged with uncertainty, longing, and unspoken doubt about reciprocation.
Gentle, intimate intensity; sensory and physical but restrained, introspective rather than explosive.
Approximately 20 lines; falls within 16-30 range.
Rich sensory imagery, metaphor of love 'trickling,' personification of heart, minimal but effective ornamentation.
Pure lyric internal voice; direct address to beloved but no dramatic persona or narrative shift.
