Silent and Hopeless

Location

She's been through so much,
But she can't tell you a single word.
Slowly, a silent tear runs
Down her soft, pale cheek.

She cannot talk, but remembers everything-
The hospital, her parents, the screaming-
Now confined to a wheelchair,
She cannot do anything herself.

Surgery gone wrong.
Nerves paralyzed.
She sits there crying.
An 18 year old girl wishing for a better life.

Hoping for a new day.
Dreading this nightmare called life.
Wishing for her past,
But slowly giving up.
