Silent Disaster

my self esteem has fallen out of  bed

inside my head is a mess

there is no fairness

he still speaks silently through my words

i've been told to get him out of my mind

yet i hope i never lose the scars that he left behind

his fragile heart

his paper skin

a beautiful boy

filled with so much sin

in the mirror

he is his own worst enemy

beneath the glass, an angel

yet the devil lies beneath.

a maniac

a tortured artist

he craved attention

that only i would give.

Haunting, you've really conveyed some powerful emotions here... the imagery is strong. Maybe add a bit more- expand on what happened; the reader is left with questions... Check out my poetry if you can... Annette Velásquez
