Silent Killer

In the world we live in today children are killed before even given the chance to flourish.

Daughters are taken from their mothers, and sons away from their fathers.

Children are losing their parents, the adults they’re supposed to look up to.

Rendering them speechless, broken and alone.

The cause of these deaths is the Silent Killer.

The Silent Killer is something we all know about but seldom talk about.

The Silent Killer takes over your mind.

It tells you that you’re not good enough and don’t deserve this life.

It gives you no reason to survive.

It makes you feel alone and broken inside.

It puts the thought in your head that it’ll only get better if you take your life.

You’ll find that no matter what you try it only gets worse.

The thoughts get louder and louder, the pain gets worse and worse until you finally give in.

As you leave this earth the real hell truly begins.

Because you’re not here you’ll never see what you put your family through.

Now that you’re gone your mother self-medicates and drinks away the pain.

Your father can’t work because he can’t forgive himself for not protecting you.

Your brother never showed he cared, but when he saw you in that casket he realized his biggest fear.

Your significant other calls your phone every day just to hear your voicemail, hoping one day you’ll pick up.

When you left this earth, you took everyone’s happiness with you.

The Silent Killer takes lives every day, and it will never stop killing.
