Silent Life

Tue, 04/30/2019 - 21:28 -- M.M.Ney

Everyday is a silent play

Wake up to go to work for the day

Morning routine, I'll be on my way

Dart and dash through this maze

Recieving not a single ounce of praise

Hardly rewarded with even a raise

Silent life as I walk alone

As the man himself sits on his throne

If I were gone, would I ever be known?

Tomorrow continues with the same old grind

At the end of the day, paid merely a dime

It seems so much like a waste of time

Silent life as I make my way

Perhaps someday it will pay

I think I will, I think I just may

Walk silently home again today
