The Silent Monster

The things I would change The things I would do Oh, if you only knew A girl, whose face is hidden by her hair It covers her tears that are shed new Or that quiet boy who hides behind a hood Did you stop and realize his eye is bruised blue? But why? How did these things come to be true? Bullying. It is a monster that quietly sneaks through Most of the time undetected or unrealized And it has probably occurred in front of you These children suffer They feel as the monster consumes them from the inside Devouring their confidence, their lives But what can they do? Most of the time their cries for help are silenced by that monster They need a hero And that hero is you.
