Silent Moon
The night, glimmering lights shining, I sit and wait. The man on the moon way up high looks down on me without a say. In the far horizon a cloud is seen, a celestial body crossing the vastness of space. And still I wait. The woman on the moon shining upon me, her brightness envelops the earth. She sways gently in the silent summer night. He is glad she is with him, she is the halo to his orb. Voices from a distant past, voices of the fallen and withered, finding happiness. Looking up, the sky is very high and distant, I wish I were there. Nostalgic thoughts surging through my mind, eyes closed and mind set. Silence is the only victor.
