Silent Nights

Those sweet silent nights
Filled with worries and thoughts.
Heart beating fast
Stomach with knots.

Throughout the night
My heart tosses and turns
Reliving the old memories
Which it never learned.

My eyes are closed
But they can still see,
The goals and ambitions
That one day will be.

The sweet sounds of the night
Keep me awake
Hoping in their harmony
My mind and body they take.

The moonlight creeps in
And shines on my face,
It fills up my room
Like a quiet embrace.

My dreams take over
And a smile grows
Peace in my mind and soul
Finally begins to show.
