The Silent One

It was loud

They spoke all at once

I stood there alone

I was a ghost

No one saw me

No one heard me

But I just listened

I had so much in my mind

But I was silent

I was too scared to speak !

I was too scared to be myself!

I was too scared to feel like I was there!

I was too scared

I didn't feel alive ...

Yet, my story hasn't ended

I wasn't alone

I had support

I had a voice

It took years to just speak up

But now

I am free

I have my voice

It was slow to let it out

But I made it through

I am no longer afraid to speak

I am not the silent one no more
