It is better to stay silent then to make them uncomfortable,

because maybe the silence can understand you better.

The gecko that sits in its cage-

will not complain that you are not upbeat and happy.

Your closed door-

Will not tell you so stop crying and get over it.

The floor you fall to-

when even your legs cannot bear you anymore,

does not tell you it is time to grow up.

The clock burning green numbers into your eyes at 3 am

on another sleepless night,

does not get uncomfortable when you spew your frustration.

Maybe it is better to be silent.
