Silent Sadness

Silently I hold my breath.

Warily I hug my chest.

The sky changes as dusk arrives.

I make a wish and close my eyes.

The love I feel in heart and soul.

A whispered prayer forever untold.

I stand helpless on the edge of reality.

The darkness is changing my mentality.

This fear mingled with sadness.
