Silent Storm

Silence Not like the stillness just before dawn Not like the deafening quiet of night Silence like the calm before the storm Silent, yet the clouds gather Silent, yet the trembling waves break upon the shore Silent, yet lightning and thunder anxiously await the day The day they will be set free The day they will be unleashed The day all control is lost And the winds and the waters run wild And all the anger and frustration is released In a single wild roar In one fierce, relentless attack And then When all is finished When all has been set free The winds shall sigh And the waters will calm And lightning and thunder shall rest And the hail, the sleet, the rain will be appeased And there will be silence Silence like the stillness just before dawn Silence like the comforting quiet of night Silence like peace Silence.
