Silent Suffering
A new dawn brings a new day,
But the night is my best friend.
The light and glitter goes away,
As the sun begins it's descend.
It is hard to see things clearly in the dark,
When I toss and turn in my bed.
My demons try to light a spark,
And start a fire in my head.
They tell me I'm not strong enough,
That I will never be okay.
I fear that when the times get rough,
I won't find another way.
I douse by brain with fresh new thoughts,
And see the thing that I require:
Someone to help when I'm distraught,
And extinguish this hellfire.
Breathe, speak up, stand tall,
Live to see another day.
Ask, be brave, don't stall,
Someone will help you find the way.
Asking for help is always alright,
When you don't know what to do.
When you wanna lay down and end the fight,
There's someone there for you.
