Silent Talking
They say ninety percent of communication is non verbal
So that means that by now I should have heard you
At least a little more clearly since you sound kind of muffled
Maybe it's really my fault since I walk with a filter,
At times quite literally
And our time is always cut short
It only takes about a minute or two to get to our destination
And it's usually small talk, though it can get quiet serious
Maybe that's all it is just a sounding board with a different perspective
Lord knows everyone needs one just to stay sane
But maybe it's more that what we both bargained for
Maybe this was a continuation of what was happening before
Two years ago just so we're for sure
Maybe there hasn't been enough clues or time
But time is something we can't rewind
Theres only four months left before the end
And I don't want to spend
So much time after regretting my inaction
So here I am to declare
How I feel about you
The only thing is that the chances of you seeing it are slim
And anything I could do to show you would be shady
Because people are used to the status quo
But I don't give a fuck about what it is
Because ultimately I want this
Not for the usual teenage reasons
But because you're someone I can talk to
And I'll sit and listen and offer my support
Be there at your highest high and lowest low
And push you as far as I know you can go
The only thing is it's just too uncertain
I mean I could have told you this in person
Or through a text, or you could let me know
Because I need to know
If I am being delusional
Or if you want to give it a go
