The Silent Wars

I don't have much fight left in me Fighting to keep an important part of humanity. I hope it won't all be in vain You don't know Well let me explain. Call it another soap box. Call it another fit. But when I'm all done, You might agree with this. The state of humanity has fallen We are no longer Thinking for ourselves. Feeling within ourselves. Depending on ourselves. Then begs the question. Are we truly free? Enslaved not physically but Mentally Emotionally Financially The list goes on til infinity. The clothes get shorter Because a magazine said so. Your body is never good enough Because a doctor said so. Debt grows larger Because Educational institutes said so. Everybody wants a revolution But it will take an evolution Not of the body Of the mind To turn back time To when freedom was a thought Manifested in the souls Torn down by society Brought up by what used to be humanity. We are fighting silent wars every day Making the enemy stronger By complacency By the inability to speak up To take back our rights. To live for ourselves Think for ourselves To become independent from this thought That we are not good enough. What now then? Glad you asked. Speak up from behind the glass. We are not prisoners We are warriors And through that evolution A revolution Can bring back the RIGHT CHANGE.
