The Silent Wound

Within the wound is pain that does not heal but
It reacts to the distaste and intolerance and pain
The lack of acceptance, the absence of peace
And more importantly, the feeling of “encagement:
It needs to be set, but the cast cannot be set
Until the opposing force is alleviated
It cannot start to heal, until it has been cleansed
Cleansed of anger, grief, shame, and fear
Fear is what scares the wound to heal
Scared to be hurt once more, in the showing of its resilience
Should it stay hurt for time upon end
The wound saw the world for its true nature
Hurt, disappointment, shame, guilt, cheat, anger, and a great pain
This was different from the world it was used to
Joy, nurture, protection, peace, love
Should the wound continue to keep itself guarded
Facing the world in the cold manner it was dealt with
Or should it try once more to be free
Free not the trails of the world, but the entrapment that many fall into
So then the day came when the risk it took to remain hurt and weak
Was more painful than the risk it took grow and become anew
This is the element of freedom, and with freedom comes love
Love cannot be shackled, because it can endure all things
It hopes for all things, and its power is limitless
Because love transcends space and time
It releases the shackled of the outcasts of the world
It brings together the bonds of hate and anger
It gives peace, and complete the soul as it searches for a fill to its void
Love fills the void in the soul, and complete the body
To be free in the physical and in the spirit because true freedom comes from within
