Silent Yet Loud.
Racism, Hatred, Bigotry, Injustice, Discriminate, Hate.
What happened with Love, Nation, Justice, Community, Respect.
I've always been discriminated , growing up with all that hatred. Don't you think i ain't frustrated? My whole life we been hated. Look around us, this what we created. They all tell me i'm not the right skin color, but my mother tells me it's all about what's under.
They don't even know bout there culture. Cause i'm brown in every class they asked for me to transfer into others, they automatically think i stutter. They think i'm scared, like if the words they tell me are making me suffer. A lot of you say it shouldn't matter, ignoring it or hiding it away with Laughter.
This just the first couple of chapters. With out us the states would be shattered, it’s like trying to live with out water.
Man this world's a disaster.
In my eyes you all matter. They’re trying to see us divided, if only we were color blind, they want us one sided, but something about my community makes me feel like we’re united. Just been sitting here writing making sure it's rhyming.
Honestly i'm getting tired of tryin',
but we gotta keep fighting.
It's tiring but keep on smiling,
our families been grinding,
we're surviving,
so far our roots been rising,
one day we'll be striving.
One day we'll have equality,
I don't understand it i mean we all gon' get buried one day in all honesty.
I know you see all the violence,
I know you feel all the loneliness,
&' I know at times it's hard for you to be able stand,
Things don't always go as planned,
I know you going through something,
But i hope that something amazing is coming.
We ran away from home cause of the government, the way it was set up there aint no justice.
In the united states we trusted,
But this past year seems like it was corrupted
All they seem to care about is there salary,
You notice they don't even give a fuck about your mentality.
Everyone saying this the young peoples country
If it really was, why can't they sit down &' listen to us?
They say this is how life is &' don't even let us discuss about it.
In the past I have been wanting to give up in school &' that's something i'm willing to admit.
They said I wasn't proving my point &' that this what i'm saying is nonsense.
But in reality your mind just can't seem to process this.
You don't need to just open up your eyes but your mind too.
You can't just determine my success, because I didn't understand question number two.
Bet most of you have never seen this side of me,
This isn't just words this is something i'm wanting to pursue!
You're not alone, you're not the only one out there confused.
Look for something you believe in &' don't use school as an excuse.
Ignore every word said about you, they don't understand why you grew up the way you did.
I mean all you that don't know me but spoke on my name, i know damn well i left you all amused.
