Silently

I lie to you,

My life is broken,

I tell you cheerfully

That I’m doing just fine,

When all I want

Is for someone to care,

I cry and cry,

But only inside,

My heart is melting,

Dripping with tears,

As my silent plea

Spreads around unnoticed.

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
