The Silver Chord

Love should be as a silver chord,

strung from heart to heart

This silver chord, seen by some,

but never by those, whose hearts between it is strung

Lives intertwined, made into one

Holds a scared bond of human life

Bringing forth the sun,

to shine, as a blessing,

a forever flying kite

Through the dark, rainy nights of strife

Man and woman, stand side by side

Fighting to stay alive

An ever rolling stream of compassion

Bring whatever may happen

If she falls, he lifts her up,

if he falls, she bends to help

A never ending conversation

Started between two naive

Building from the bottom, up

a love that soars, above the trees.
