Silver Linings

In our world it can be hard to make things go your way,

the pipes will leak, the roof will creak, but things will be okay.

For in every small disastrous thing comes adventure in all sorts,

and in adventure we can find even the oddest of cohorts.

Whether big or small, or polka dotted it all will be much fun,

because who could dream ward off the rain without a bit of sun?

These friends are like the sunshine that runs off the largest cloud,

and with them by your side, I think, you'll always feel so proud.

So keep these people close at hand they are the silver lining,

that you can always count on when it comes to positive redefining.

Not all is going to be as easy as counting one, two, three,

but insight will come to those who greet it, in time I know you'll see.

Remember that the world around you is more awesome than you think,

even if you can't seem to stop the leaking of the pipes under the sink.
