The silver slipper(first poem I've ever written)

My wealth has dwindled

but our problems only triple

our everyday facade

still remains unflawed

'Cus every day we dress up

while OCD ella cleans up

her daddy the doctor left her immune

yet we crumble further at every moon

we can only pray for the day

that we can get the aid

to escape this death

this black bubonic death

this ball invitation

can be our salvation

our ticket to a new destination

and so we get dollied up- covered in beads

while a sleepy Ella complains of fatigue

see i really would take her

but her beauty would leave us a blur

she is sure to survive

its me and my girls that must thrive

because the bodies just keep piling

i can no longer see a silver lining

we try our best to stand out at the ball

but our chances are ruined once she entered the hall

shes got the most beautiful attire

the princes' eyes fill with desire

she beautiful, like a doll

the center of attention the rest of the ball

then without any warning she runs out at midnight

poor prince, he runs with all his might

but she is long gone,

he's heartbroken but the ball must go on

a few days latter I get a shiver

to see the prince at our door

holding a glimmering slipper

he asks if we've seen it before

then he asks us to try it on

we try to squish our feet in

and the prince holds back laughter with a grin

Ella walks in and the princes' eyes glow

the slipper fits and off they go
