Silver Sun

When dusk arrives it is already there, With its dark lunar glare and bright white hue, Marks time to sleep and rest, for me and you And illumes the shadows for easy fare. Awakens some to succumb to night air By unearthing them from their homes of yew. Its silver light seeps past soil to imbue And carves silver paths to lands to beware. High above the earth the silver sun lies, Blanketing the dark lands with hoary tints. Alas it will soon be time for sunrise. Lower and lower it falls in the skies. As dawn closes in, it loses its glints. No worries, for it’ll be back in high rise.
