That Simple

Have you been taking your pills? Yes, (Yes i have)

and it's a mistake. What’s a mistake? You’ve been doing good

(i’m doing good?) with the orange and the blue (should i cut them

in half yet?) but not good enough, let’s say there’s another

(i can’t take another) will it make you feel better? Yes? (No it won’t) Ok, good.

We’ll start you on it come Friday (are you sure it will work?) Make me normal

But you are normal, sweetheart, just with a tinge (of self-hatred?) of overbearing emotions

and a lack of sleep and a touch of too much empathy (but she’ll make you normal), but I can assure you

these will help. Just think of them like a rainbow. Rainbows make me happy, Perfect

you’re already on track (can i be happy?)

(what is being happy) (why do we argue) (why do i cry)

(why do you put your hand on my shoulder and tell me its ok) (why do you believe me)

(why do i trust you) (why should i trust myself)

Sweetheart, you’re going to be okay, say we schedule a visit

in 6 months and you’ll be alright, I know you’re strong. I can be strong

(enough) Perfect.

Everything today is confidential, promise? Promise. (I promise)

We’ll put your co-pay down, bill your insurance, and have you stop

by Publix to pick up your next dose. Ok, (it isn’t)
