Simple

All I ask for is a simple life

All this technology is just dandy

But you’re addicted to it like a child with candy.

Starving children around the world rubbing their tummies

While you waste food everyday like a bunch of dummies.

People on the streets of their country begging for money

While you drink your champagne and play rummy.

You give hate towards other religions and races

Instead of love and embraces.

Innocent men and women dying every day

All these wars do is cause my heart to weigh.

Drugs and alcohol consuming you; kicking you to the curb

But the one and only thing you should be consuming is the herb.

Materials and brand names is all you’re worried about

Well it’s time you take a different route.

Wake up and open your eyes

Why can’t you hear the cries?

Peace and love is what we need

I’ll even go down on my knees and plead.
