Simple Attraction

You have always puzzled me

You seem to be nothing more than a beautiful face

With blue, bashful, stormy eyes

And a strange, lingering, gentle gaze

That makes the most rational

Dazed and dumbstruck.

You have a subtle charm in your ways

That brings out my vanity

For I find myself, a being most rational,

Dazed and dumbstruck

By nothing more than your lingering, gentle gaze.
