A Simple Diamond

When you gave one away, its crystal

Like diamonds created by only humans.

With great emotion

We give these to act, to fake, to feel, to let go

Some can control these inner diamonds

So well, that you may forget that anyone can have them

When born we alert our loved ones that we need attention

As we grow older, other emotions take over

I consider these diamonds my weakness

I use them often. Though, I don’t show them to others

The worse use of the diamonds are to hide them

They will come when needed, and no one should use them alone without someone near

To help, to confide, to see hope in every despair

A simple diamond, but as everyone else knows it as a tear.
