The Simple Grains of Life
Hourglass,
Its outside is the world.
When it is flipped your life has
Begun.
The sand running down the glass
Is your time in life.
Every grain of sand is a
memory.
The sharp shards of sand
are the hardships in life,
While where the sand is smooth
Are the joyous times in life.
Sand is time,
But there is only so much sand.
Before you know it,
All the sand has reached the bottom of the glass.
And time is
Done.
