A Simple Grin

A simple grin is all I need,

whether a smile or a slight smirk.

Life isn't always as it seems,

as it can be terrible or a dream.

Either poor or rich,

happy or sad,

a grin cheers me up,

reminding me of what I have.

Days can be hard,

life can be rough,

but a smile is all it takes

to rid my mind.

A grin or smile or simple smirk

remind me I'm loved no matter what.

From stranger or foe,

maybe friends or family,

any smile shows me one thing.

Life isn't all that it seems.
