simple rewind

silver moon
behind the trees
bird's croon, autumn breeze
take a walk, busy street
strangers smile
but you won't ever meet
lose your dream
one step plan
become a no one
walking man

what would you give to step out of your mind
no longer justify your daily grind
not one part of your life defined
open to anything, a simple rewind

wind will tear
through your skin
feel the cracks grow again
so alone, starry night
too many worked hours
no friends left to invite
feel it in you
autumn breeze
hollow soul
blow away the make believe

what would you give to step out of your mind
no longer justify your daily grind
not one part of your life defined
open to anything, a simple rewind
