Simple Silver

Simple silver on my wrist,

Clink Clink Clink

All my other bracelets feel missed.

I used to wear so many,

Lined up,

Stacked up,

Overlapping within minutes.

Now there is one,

One bracelet that is;

One with many parts.

A book,

A birthstone,

Most have been birthday gifts.

A snowman,

An “S”,

It makes me different from the rest.

Twenty-three charms,

Only four the same,

The first charm received in the 9th grade.

Every charms represent who I am through and through,

The soccer ball,

The Statue of Liberty,

The flower that I wish could bloom.

Simple silver on my wrist,

The thing that shows every little part of me.

Everyone searches to be unique,

To be different from the rest.

What makes me different from her?

From him?

From the ones I see every day?

Simple silver on my wrist,

Clink Clink Clink

Simple silver on my wrist,

That is not really simple at all.

A Pandora bracelet,

That represents me.

And only me,

The one thing that signifies my true unique identity.
