Simple Time

"a time that was once simple",

Never heard of it,

I've seen pain,

Heartache,

Love,

Anger,

Rejection,

And I've made them into words of art,

People wonder who hurt me,

A lot has hurt me through time:

Father left,

Raised by a single mom,

Family gone,

Pride built up through pain,

My walls are made of bricks,

My heart caged,

My eyes don't look the same,

They were once of a joyous child,

Now they are empty,

With no life inside,

The music is no longer the same,

The words are no longer pure,

I'm the maniac of writing,

If you didn't know I can't live without it,

For it is my simple time,

It's like the words are writing me,

And not me writing the words.
