A Simple ‘How are you?’ Will Do
Meaningless banter
Empty conversation
As a friend I’d think you see my mind is stuck
Replaying a situation
I’m sure you do but I guess you don’t care
At least that’s what I assume
And that I can’t possibly bare
If I’m being transparent I’ll admit that pains me
I think about the encounter as my tear drops stain me
It’s okay you’ve just shown you’re not good for me
If you were you would’ve tried to cheer me up
Relentlessly
At least I know now to guard my heart
I was the board and you were the dart
But I say no more
I know who I am and what Im worth
I love me so much I’d wear me on a fucking shirt
I thank you for the lesson you unknowingly taught me
It truly means a lot
I bid you farewell though,
You’ve definitely lost your shot
Like I said before, a simple ‘how are you will do’
