Simplicity

Let’s go to simplicity,

Crying about skinned knees

Rather than the flesh-eating socialites.

The judgment was what crayons

Rather than what choices.

Personal life was personal at some point,

But now everyone is informed.

We are girls.

The girls that choose their fate

But receive the opposite.

We think we know at 17.

We think the life we live is it.

This is simplicity plus.

The slightly more advanced.

Hard nevertheless.

Those ones that threaten your secrets

Crave the blood in your veins.

Puberty develops to jealousy.

So let’s go back.

Back to clarity and concrete rules.

Instead we are adults and we rule.

The right and wrong blur.

Yearning to escape.

We are a shattered pane,

One touch and we fall.

All of us variables.

But what about when we were all constants?
