The Simplicity of my Thoughts

I’ve found I think better when I’m alone it’s my greatest downfall.

When I’m alone they attack.

Hissing and snarling and every post I’ve thought the flits across my mind.

They don’t like the sun, they’d rather my mind stay dark and gloomy.

They get kicks at watching my fail and break down.

My depression is their favorite movie, my anxiety their favorite book.

But something happened one day.

Their favorite movie become their worst nightmare.

My depression turned into happiness and laughter,

my anxiety burned from the pages and rewritten into love and acceptance.

They don’t leave the tiny dark corners of my mind anymore.

They complain it’s too bright and too hot. I like the sun it’s feels nice
