Simply Beauty

Distilled waters lie before me. No creasing waves, but the sense within and through the surface of the waters makes me wonder of the currents that lie deep within the stretch of the deep-blue.

Simple beauty.

I lie upon the separated wood planks of the dock; with the tips of my fingers, I break the top of the sleek surface. I drag my fingers through and through, feeling the water run over my fingers prints, creating ripple effects to extend my impact.

Simple beauty.

I pier farther across the surface, there lies the dancing moon's reflection. The crisp impressed refection is disturbed by my impacted ripples that continue to extend.

Simple beauty.

I turn to my back to see the distant moon dangling from the blackened night sky. Sparkling, crisp specks demand to be seen. Twinkling twilight stars fight to be brightest, but fail to the glow of the moon that shines upon my skin.

Simple beauty.

I slowly rise to my feet and begin my journey from the dock. I imprint my way along the shore, the water lies motionless, the sand is all that moves beneath me with every step. I reach the path to return back to reality, but before I go on my way, I glance to my footprints return and retreat to the one place I love to leave the slightest impressions most.
