Simply Because I Am

She’s the creativity that flows on paper

The one that gets inspired by many things

The young lady that expresses herself through her fluid movements

Though you may judge

Her head shall always be held high

For she will always be proud of who she has become

She is the girl known to be reserved

Never unspoken unless desired

But that’s not the end

For every person there will be a story

And of course she has one to tell you

But the question is are you ready?

A single parent household is what she knows best

Mother a vacant hole in her heart

Father is who she looks up to – a true hero at most

Four brothers and two sisters associated by blood

One stepmother who gives her all the love

Twelve friends who will never give up

But she is who she is

And I am who I am

She is me and I am her – simply because I am
