Simply, Love.

Because I love you,

I do my best to keep you happy,

I can't help staring when you speak.

Because I love you,

You are my first thought in the morning,

And my last thought at night.

Because I love you,

We don't need to spend every hour together,

So long as I make your day brighter.

Because I love you,

I painfully accept

That you may not love me.

Because I love you,

Your smile is worth everything to me,

Even if someone else is causing it.

Because I love you,

I will never give up on you,

Even when you have given up on yourself.

Because I love you,

I will be your shoulder to cry on through every break up,

Wondering why someone would give you up.

"Why do you put up with me?" You say through tears.

"Simple," I whisper,

"Because I love you."
