Simply Me

Me.

Who is me?

Who is this me I refer to so often?

Crying "Its mine, its mine!' as a child

Jumping yelling "Me! Me! Me!" In hopes that my grandma will pick me

Well, I am me.

And only I can be me.

Me.

I am quiet. I am shy.

I have opinions and words that stay locked in my head

I am a writer. I am an author.

I have folders and folders of stories, never finished and never seen

I am devoted. I am loyal.

I will never leave anyone behind

I am loving. I am kind.

I have friends that need my help and I do my best to give it to them

Me.

Sometimes "me" fails

Sometimes I am angry. I am confused.

Sometimes I am sad.

Sometimes, I am rude and unfeeling

But I try my best to be my best "me"

But all humans make mistakes

 I am human.

I am me.
