Simply Me
Who I am is a good question to ask
I could say a lot of things
But it would be too much to grasp
I am a teenager who has big dreams
I am the type of girl that hates to wear jeans
You would not see imperfections on my Facebook pictures
Because everything I post can only come from pre- approved filters
I am hiding who I am from the social world
Because I am scared they will not like my real looks
Got to tilt my head and give it a little dip
Can not let them see my double chin
Rearrange my hair to the side
Try to look cool and cover an eye
Speaking of which, my eyes are not gleaming
Put some mascara on to keep them from looking dreary
These pimples are too scary
Blemish them to seem more merry
Meeting me in person takes away all that
Because people see me for who I am
I am not the girl with the fake glam,
I am a girl who does what she can
To make people smile,
To make people laugh,
To make people see that she is a nice gal
To make herself known for her real self
Without social media I am just me
A normal girl who likes to be free
I like to have fun
I love to gain knowledge
I am just a girl that goes to college
I do not worry about how others will judge me
Because I am satisfied with whom I carry out to be
It does not matter who I meet
I am simply me
