The Simulation

As the population slowly grows

Time on Earth begins to slow

And as it becomes more

Noticeable the world

Begins to

panic.

“Oh no, it's aliens!”

Some would say

Others say

that we

should

pray.

Lo! A great shaking! Buildings begin to collapse!

“The Rapture is here!” some would scream

and others wish this were a dream

but a dream this surely is not

for all can feel the shaking-

what? The shaking

stops, and then-

all the world

is gone.

“Are you kidding me? The simulation crashed!”

“Come on, Zeus, I told you that things were getting too crowded!”

“Whatever, I still did better than you.”

“This was stupid anyway.”

“Wait, no, guys! We can do another simulation! We can-”

“Shut up, Thor. We spent, what, 7 billion years on this? It was a waste of time.”

“But we had so much fun...”
