Sin
It seems like most people are oblivious to your situation.
And others are dumbfounded, as if they’d never received an education.
It feels like the world’s cast upon your shoulders and very few can carry it with you.
Like your dearest family and friends, have turned their backs and come against you.
Pen and Paper, you have come to find, are the only friends you can trust.
They provoke you to write when you need to, and also to write when you must.
Pen expresses your feelings as he flows across his mate.
Paper then possesses your thoughts, whether she is balled up or perfectly straight.
Yet, they can’t help you face your demon; they only display how you feel.
So when you stand up against him, you fight at your own will.
You have no weapons amongst you, so Hatred becomes your guide;
because your love has come to an end, through Hatred your love died.
So you stand, against the world, like one soldier at war with a thousand men.
And when all hope seems lost, you fall to your knees and pray to God, so that he may
forgive your sin.
