The Sin of Beauty

Beauty is a lie that does not exist.

The eyes of the beholder have been scratched out

With ideas twisted by the masochist

Who broadcasts insecurities, taking a body count.

Empty dinner plates and gag reflexes can get you pretty.

The ideal of perfection blares on every screen creating slaves,

Walking zombies in pursuit of something called sexy.

Double edged blades and tiny capsuls can save

Those out of will to disappear in skinny.

Beauty used to be an inner design

Something that had to shine through histories mosaic

And light up hearts not the thought of one nights sin.

Beauty now lies in the wants of the phallic

Pleasure kittens and alterations is where it begins.

When it ends the shell only remains of a once interesting human

Who died in order  to please a man

Wanting to be what he thought was good.

I would much rather be interesting than his ideal of good.

Beauty is a lie, a sin I will not try to commit.
