Sincerely Grace

I was seeing someone.

You were seeing someone.

As my friend, you brought smiles to face and redness to cheeks. My skin glowed and the laugh I've always hated had always made its way out. I couldn't see this, but everyone noticed my glow, even my best friend .. or your girlfriend as you say..-

The pressure of over-stepping my boundary. The pressure of getting you. The pressure of being yours.

When I finally could call you mine, all was good. The doors to my dark side fled open and your light shined on me.

I saw the good in you.

..I also saw the attention you gave other girls..-the same attention you called "meaningless". The sweet nothings that were for me, just for me, had someone's name on it that wasn't my name.

The way you looked at me wasn't the same.

Your words went from sugar to sand .. sand to bullets, tearing me slowly to pieces.

Sincerely, Grace
