Sing

Chicago, New York, the big city lights.

Flashing all around me, and golden-pearly white.

I yearn to be on Broadway,

The stage I yearn to play.

Singing on stage,

my dream may sound boast.

But to me it is as if I am a parasite,

and singing is my host.

My life without singing,

well there'd be no life at all.

I'd bury myself a ten foot hole,

and in it I would crawl.

Some people say my dreams I can not achieve.

For I don't care if I don't achieve them,

as long as I can still sing,

A singer I do not wish to be,

it is just a thought.

For I love to do it,

but I am not good enough.

I really just love to sing and that is all it is,
