sink

it drips all the time

i can hear it in my room

a steady pace

drip

.........drip

..................drip

falling to the bottom of the sink

it has to be hard to always be on

for people to think you're off

to think you're fine

it feels like that sometimes when i smile

the nob turned all the way to the right

off

but then i get to my room

head on my pillow

drip

.........drip

..................drip

are you crying too sink?

can they hear me like i hear you?

do you wonder when

someone will need you next?

do you look at the door

like i look at the phone?

are you waiting to be called into action?

are you leaking sadness too?
