Sinking
The stars are in your eyes
The sun is in your smile
I lean back into your arms
Wishing I could stay here a while longer
I bury myself deeper
So deep I start to lose myself
This world is too dark, too big for us
Yet I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else
We’re sinking together
Two hearts starting to blend
I place my hand in yours
My precious childhood friend
